Guess what today is? EARTH DAY! So the tip is to be as green as you can. Pick up trash, recycle paper, and conserve energy. Basicly, do everything that you can to help the earth.

What is your project?
We sent out a survey too the principles in the arch diocese. We received 16 responses. We then tallied our results. Next,we posted the results on the green monkey blog website. Also we have contacted the schools who responded and referred them to our blog for suggestions on how they can improve on how they recycle.
Why did you choose this project?
For the past couple of years we worked on a green monkey project for our school. This came to be when, in 5th grade, we were talking about sequences of events. The green monkey project was born from that. We have built 3 sites, and one is for this project. We wanted to know if we weren’t the only school recycling. And we wanted to try and make the world a greener place.
How many people worked to make this project a reality?
Three people worked to make this project a reality.
How did you figure out how to complete it? (Did you consult experts in this field? Is it based on another model?)
Our teacher helped us create the blog, and he taught us how to use google docs. We made the survey and wrote all the blog posts and analyzed all the results.
What were some challenges you faced?
Getting as many people as we could to respond. Also, wanting to place more questions on the survey. We hoped we’d have more people respond.
How did you measure your impact?
The results from the survey tell us the impact. There are 9 questions on our survey. The results are on the green monkey blog website.
What is the impact? (Does it affect just a few students, entire school, entire community?)
We will send the results to the principles of the 16 schools that did our survey.
What is the impact? (Does it affect just a few students, entire school, entire community?)
We have presented to others schools in our city. Also, we have talked to schools through our sites. We have a website called greenmonkeybusiness.com, and on that website, we try to help businesses with recycling. With the prize money, we plan on expanding our green monkey project. We will help large and small schools and businesses not only in our city, but across the states.
